Why is my computer so slow?
This question can be answered so many ways because of the fact there are many reasons why a computer may run slow. A computer can be slow because of one of these reasons or a combination of several.

Anyway, here are 16 reasons why a computer is slow:
  1. CPU (Central Processing Unit) is too old or too slow
  2. Too many programs running in the foreground
  3. Conversely, too many programs running in the background
  4. One or two applications are doing highly intensive processing
  5. Uninstalled programs still co-existing
  6. Registry corruption
  7. File corruption
  8. Applications are freezing
  9. Hard drive fragmentation
  10. Hard drive failure (bad sectors)
  11. Insufficient security software
  12. Not enough RAM or memory
  13. Virtual memory is set too low
